Get your projects ready for our next Show and Tell on April 2, 2021.
Show and Tell is meant to encourage the ham Do It Yourself (DIY) spirit. You can build something using hardware and/or software. It could range from extremely simple to extremely complicated, but be aware of the time limitation.
Preferably it should be powered up and demonstrated even if all features are not implemented.
Show and be proud of your personal effort. It is OK to borrow ideas and we all learn and learn from others, just make sure you cite your sources and give credit where credit is due.
Reminder from Larry, W1AST regarding the meeting this Friday, April 5, 2019.
Don’t forget to bring in any old gear that you want to get rid of. Rob,
KC1KCF will be getting there at 7 to get setup as long as someone let’s him in looking forward to seeing everyone as he missed the last meeting.
Bring your items to sell and put them on the Swap and Sell table at this
Fridays HCRA meeting.
Doors open at 7, meeting starts at 7:30.
Meeting Subject is Show and Tell. Bring anything you’ve built or completed in the past 12 months, or since the last Show and Tell.
You’ll have 5 minutes to explain your project and might win one of 4 prizes too!
I hope to see everyone there!
73,
Larry, W1AST
Here’s a chance to make money on your project. After you win one of the prizes put your hand crafted watchamcallit’ on the swap table and go home with to cash along with your prize 🙂 Or maybe find something on the table for your next creation?
Once again the Swap & Sell table will be there, how exciting it is falls entirely on the shoulders of you, our members. We know everyone has at least ONE thing they probably should ‘recycle’ and the HCRA swap table is the perfect place. No shipping, no eBay fees, supports the club, makes meetings more interesting and is fun. Need I say more?
Before coming to our April 1st meeting why not take a look around the shack and find an item or fifteen worthy of creating excitement in someone else’s shack and bring it to the meeting.
No foolin, see you April 1st!

HCRA’S SHOW AND TELL 2016
– Friday April 1st, 2016 –
THIS IS NOT A JOKE!
The Hampden county radio association will be holding its annual show and tell on Friday, April 1st, 2016. This is where HCRA members can show off their amateur radio related projects. If you’ve been working on something over the months, bring it to April’s meeting and share it with other members and the general public. If you project was fascinating enough, you might walk away with prize!
If you haven’t started on a project by now, don’t worry. You still have 4 months to work on project which is plenty of time to create something wonderful.
HCRA’s Show & Tell Meeting is less than TWO weeks away! What are you bringing to Show and Tell?
At HCRA’s annual show and tell meeting, members bring in projects they have either completed or have made progress on over the last year and give a short presentation to the membership. This is a great opportunity to show others what you’ve been up to and for fellow club members to get ideas on projects they might want to try. Past projects have ranged from the simple to the complex and from very small to very large and everywhere in between. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to share and we look forward to seeing what you’re up to! If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

There are less than two months left before Hampden County Radio Association’s Annual Show & Tell meeting. During this meeting members bring in projects they have either completed or have made progress on over the last year and give a short presentation to the membership. This is a great opportunity to show others what you’ve been up to and for fellow club members to get ideas on projects they might want to try. Past projects have ranged from the simple to the complex and from very small to very large and everywhere in between. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to share. There is still plenty of time to build that kit you have stashed away or put together photos from the project last summer. We look forward to seeing what you’re up to! If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Last Friday’s Show & Tell meeting was a great success. We had 9 members bring projects that were either completed or close to completion. All of the presenters did a great job explaining their projects in detail to the club and the audience had good questions for the presenters. Congratulations to Juergen – AB1SU (DK1TM) who scored the most points with the audience and chose the Raspberry Pi microcomputer for his prize. Jeff – NT1K & Dan –KB1VWQ tied for 2nd place and duked it out over the last two prizes. After the dust settled, Dan went home with the Arduino Uno Microcontroller and Jeff took home two raffle tickets for the KX3 drawing. All of the presenters did a wonderful job with their projects and we thank you for taking the time to show your fellow club members what you’ve been working on. Thank you to everyone who was able to make the meeting, including those who were able to tune in via the live stream on the HCRA USTREAM channel. A special thank you to Jeff – NT1K who setup the live stream and manned the camera throughout the evening. It’s never too early to start thinking about that project for next year!
