Got some ham radio gear you’d like to get rid of, or something you’re hoping to acquire at a good price? Come out to the next HCRA meeting Friday, November 1, for our popular annual auction. Here’s how it works:
- Bring any type of amateur radio equipment, but absolutely no computers, peripherals, monitors, or computer parts.
- Check in, and get item tags for whatever you’re selling and a bidder card so you can buy.
- Set your own starting prices. The auctioneer will solicit bids going up from there.
- Bid on whatever you want, within your budget.
- Once the auction is done, settle up with the club’s treasurer. The club gets a 10% cut of all sales; buyers can keep the rest.
- If you bring an item that doesn’t sell, you must take it with you when you leave. This is not a dump.
- No tailgating is allowed in the parking lot.
We meet at the Holyoke Medical Center Auxiliary Conference Center. The doors open at 19:00 local time for coffee, donuts, socializing, and browsing the items up for auction. We’ll start the meeting at 19:30 with some announcements, then get into the auction.
