Field Day 2021: June 26-27

HAMPDEN COUNTY RADIO ASSOCIATIO FIELD DAY: 

In person field Day is back for 2021!

Field Day goes beyond the weekend the event is held.

Preparation Stage:

Field Day activities start weeks before the event is held. Several weeks before Field Day, volunteers tackle the tasks of inventorying, inspecting and testing the parts and equipment to be used during field day. Of course, we have to make sure there are also enough plates, cups, napkins, and other supplies to be used for meals during Field Day. It is a tedious task, but necessary to ensure a successful Field Day!.

W1NY is the club call we use during Field Day
Anyone And Everyone that is fully vaccinated against Covid-19 Is Welcome To Attend.
New hams and non-hams are welcome to come and learn, if you have been vaccinated against Covid-19. You could also operate, with supervision, if you want to try ham radio operations. It is fun!

Setup – Friday, June 26 and Saturday morning June 27.

The event begins Saturday at 2 pm and runs thru Sunday at 2 pm.

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS:

We need volunteers for:

setup on Friday and Saturday before the start of Field Day,
tear-down on Sunday starting around 1 pm,
operating the 2 SSB stations and a CW station
including late at night and in the middle of the night and early Sunday morning,
preparing meals
all aspects of the event
