    Field Day 2022

ARRL Field Day is the single most popular on-the-air
event held annually in the US and Canada. On the fourth
weekend of June of each year, thousands of radio amateurs
gather with their clubs, groups or simply with friends to oper-
    ate from remote locations.

Field Day is a picnic, a campout, practice for emergencies, an
informal contest and, most of all, FUN!

HCRA Field Day is no different than so many other clubs
that look forward to Field Day all year long. We begin with a
complete trailer inventory that was performed on May 21st to
make sure everything necessary for Field Day is in the trailer.

HCRA Field Day is held at the School Street Park, School Street, Agawam MA, 01001.

Your club needs YOU to volunteer! This event does not run itself, volunteers are needed for the following:

    Friday, June 24th:

Tow the trailer from Southwick to the Field Day site in the park.
Setup begins at 1 pm at the park.

Erect portable towers, assembling the antennas.

If you have a camper, tent, or motorhome join us Friday night!

    Saturday, June 25th:

Complete tower & antenna set up, assemble station shelters & HF stations.

Field Day runs for 24hrs beginning at 1800 UTC Saturday through 2059 UTC Sunday.

Join in for the hamburger dinner. (see below) What will you be bringing? Side dish? Dessert?

Camp in the park on Saturday night & do some late night operating.

Volunteer for a minimum of 3 consecutive hours and be entered into the Field Day Raffle!

    Sunday, June 26th:

Cook Sunday morning breakfast & lunch.
Once operating concludes teardown begins & park must be left cleaner than when we arrived!

WE MUST HAVE SOMEONE AS THE FOOD CHAIRPERSON!

Cook hamburger dinner on Saturday night

Cook and/or serve breakfast on Sunday morning

Cook hamburger lunch on Sunday at noon
